West Palm Beach, Fla.--- The Marauders (31-20, 66-50) and the Jupiter Hammerheads (25-26, 60-57) for the third game of a six-game series at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, the spring training home of the Astros and Nationals, on a cool and breezy Thursday evening. Bradenton saw themselves behind by a sizeable margin late in the game but pushed hard to the finish line to steal an 8-5 win.

Marauders starter Hunter Barco put together his best outing of the year as he tossed three innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out six of the 11 men he faced in the outing.

The Hammerheads shot out in front in the bottom of the first inning thanks to a pair of back-to-back two-out hits to give the home side a 1-0 advantage.

Bradenton tied the game up in the top of the fifth when Lonnie White Jr. came up in the clutch with a two-out single to score Geovanny Planchart, who had doubled earlier in the inning.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Hammerhead bats came alive to score four runs off of a hit batsman, three hits, and a pair of wild pitches in the frame to gain a commanding 4-1 lead going into the final three innings to play.

The Young Bucs managed to claw one run back in the top of the seventh inning thanks to a two-out RBI single off the bat of AAA rehabber Cal Mitchell to pull the score to 5-2 with two innings to go in the contest.

The Marauders' offense took a big step back toward a tie game in the top of the eighth inning when they plated a pair of runs, with Justin Miknis and Geovanny Planchart both knocking in runs with back-to-back RBI hits.

With Bradenton down 5-4 going into the ninth inning, Lonnie White Jr. led off the inning with a walk and was followed up by Deivis Nadal and Charles McAdoo, who both singled to load the bases with no one out.

Back-to-back Marauders hitters struck out looking to bring Sergio Campana into the batter's box with two outs and the game on the line. Campana drew a four-pitch walk to tie the game at 5-5.

The next pitch to Justin Miknis with the bases loaded was waved off as a balk was called to score Nadal from third to put the good guys up 6-5.

Miknis hit a slow bouncer to the second baseman that was fielded cleanly but thrown short of the first baseman to score two more runs for Bradenton, making it 8-5 in favor of the Young Bucs going to the bottom of the ninth.

2023 draftee Patrick Reilly punched out all three Jupiter hitters that he faced in the bottom of the ninth inning to seal the 8-5 triumph for Bradenton.

Game four of the series is set for 6:30 on Friday night. Dominic Perachi is expected to start for the Marauders.
