Since their inception in 1994, 117 Hudson Valley Renegades players have gone on to play in Major League Baseball. The first Renegades player to reach MLB was Kevin Brown, a catcher with the inaugural 1994 team. For 29 years, future big leaguers including All-Stars, Gold Glovers, Sliver Sluggers, World Series Champions, Rookies of the Year and an MVP have called Heritage Financial Park home. In 2022, 10 Renegades alumni made their MLB debuts, including Oswald Peraza -- the first of the Yankees-affiliation era to break in with the Yankees.
Three former Renegades managers, Charlie Montoyo ('98), Edwin Rodriguez ('99), and Matt Quatraro ('06 & '07) have gone on to manage MLB teams after serving in that position with the Gades.
