NEGATIVE TESTING / VACCINATION CARD: The Somerset Patriots are not requiring media to present a negative COVID-19 test nor a CDC-provided vaccination card.
PARKING: It is advised that media park in the RED LOT (to the right of the ballpark) and let parking attendants know they are working media. There will be no charge.
MEDIA DINING: The Somerset Patriots will provide food options for credentialed/working media during each game. Food will be available approximately one-and-a-half hours prior to the scheduled game time.
DAILY SCHEDULE / FACILITY HOURS: Daily schedules, game times and facility hours are all subject to change. The press box will typically be open for media beginning 2.5 hours before first pitch and remain open for 60 minutes following the last out.
PRESS MATERIALS: The Somerset Patriots will print and provide daily game notes, rosters, stat packs and lineup scorecards. The team will not print it’s Media Guide in bulk, but can print upon request. All game notes and press releases, along with the team’s Media Guide, are available digitally at milb.com/somerset/team/press-box.
PLAYER / COACH AVAILABILITY: Please note that in coordination with MLB guidelines, all media availability during the season will be done on the field/outside or via Zoom. Due to MLB safety protocols, there will currently be no clubhouse availability.
ACCESS AREAS: The Patriots will adhere to all MLB, New York Yankees, and New Jersey safety protocols. Credentialed media will have access to the playing field, press box, and areas pre-determined by the team and at specific times. Photographers / videographers will coordinate with the media department once at TD Bank Ballpark to find accessible areas to shoot.
DRESS CODE / CODE OF CONDUCT: Members of the media are expected to dress professionally, respect other media and press box staff and follow the guidelines set forth by the team while at TD Bank Ballpark.
REQUESTING CREDENTIALS: All credential requests must be submitted online by using the form below. The Patriots are requesting that credential requests are made at least 48 hours prior to the game of your choice. Late requests and/or day-of requests will be accepted if available, but the team cannot guarantee acceptance. Media already credentialed through Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees, or any other MLB club will still need to apply through the Patriots for a credential to TD Bank Ballpark. No other credentials will be accepted. All credential-related questions should be sent to the Vice President of Communications & Media Relations, Marc Russinoff, at [email protected].
CREDENTIAL PICK-UP / ENTRY: Once approved by the Somerset Patriots, credentialed media will be emailed a confirmation for their scheduled event. Media credentials can be picked up at the Ford Will Call Window of the box office starting three hours prior to schedule game times (unless other arrangements have been made with the Patriots Media Relations Department). When at the ballpark, media should enter through the main gate and either display their credential at all times when at TD Bank Ballpark. If arriving before gates are open, media should check in at the ticket office next to the main gate and display their credential for entry.
LIABILITY WAIVER: Credentialed media will be required to sign a Release of Liability media waiver prior to working an event at TD Bank Ballpark. This waiver is available on the team’s website or via email and acknowledges the COVID-19 risks associated with working an in-person sporting event. Entry to the facility will be denied in the absence of this signed waiver.

Years with the Patriots: 2022 - present (Entering 1st Season)
Cusumano most recently served as a broadcast assistant for the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning in 2021. In the position, he hosted game features and previews, worked with team personnel to enhance the in-game broadcast, as well as social media management for home and road games for Lightning Radio.
He worked as the Director of Digital Media and Public Relations for the Arizona Rattlers and Tucson Sugar Skulls of the Indoor Football League (IFL) beginning in July of 2020. There, Cusumano was the primary reporting resource and liaison for both organizations, managed the digital content strategy for social media and web platforms, designed videos, graphics, and wrote features for the teams to use for media, web, and social distribution.
As a broadcast intern with the Tampa Bay Rays, Cusumano produced audio and multi-media content for Rays Radio’s online platforms and radio affiliates from January to May of 2020. He also voiced and produced commercials, billboards, and promos, that aired on the Rays Radio Network.
His baseball play-by-play experience comes from a season as the broadcaster for the Tri-City Valley Cats in 2018 when the team was the Class-A Short Season affiliate for the Houston Astros. In addition to calling home and away games, Cusumano hosted pre-game shows and worked as the media relations coordinator.
He was the play-by-play man for the Orem Owlz when they were an affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels in 2017, as well as Arizona State University baseball and softball games for the Pac-12 Network in 2018 and 2019. Cusumano also called high school sports for PrepSpotlight.tv in 2020 and 2021 and Pulse Sports from 2015-2017.
